Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings' end

I have taken off some time this week from work. One thing I took time off for was to visit my lovely family out at their farm. Lovely it was! I was able to ride around on their bright green John Deere tractor through their bright green meadows, on mowed-out paths that circle around through an acre or so of their HUGE lot that seems endless out past their "back yard". I don't know if it can be called a back yard! More like a jungle mixed with vast plain or something! There is a gigantic, ancient windmill out there right next to where they planted their vegetable garden. Maybe there is some fruit in there, too, I can't remember. Their  hens laid a few eggs last night and I watched my mom take them out this morning of the nest (located in the horse stables barn),  right out from under the hens' underside. Can't say I've ever seen that before! They have a lot of work being done out there and a lot of work left to do, what with the 3 barns and several sheds, I am excited for my next return there. It felt like I was visiting somewhere far, far away and that it would soon be time to leave but came to the hasty realization that it's my mommies' new farm house and property! Across the road is a beautiful lake, Minnesota has many, but theirs is gorgeous at this time of year (and always). The leaves are absolutely amazing.   I was exhausted after getting dropped off today, and slept through a few hours that were supposed to be of my sister and I getting together at the gym we go to. I have a gym membership at SNAP Fitness http://www.snapfitness.com/. Molly, my sister, is just as frantic and neurotic as I am about making sure to get in shape and we've made it somewhat of a priority, I guess you could say. This blog is perhaps an outlet for which to express the mass quantities of thoughts and whatnot revolving around what that means to me, and what being healthy means to me. And how I plan to attain higher levels of that so called health. Among many other things, I am sure.  Since I missed my work-out session with Molly earlier, we planned to make up for it tonight after my classes.

Today, my wonderful mothers, step-brother Jesse, and I, went to Present Moment. it's a fabulous little shoppe located here in the Twin Cities, USA. If you like herbs, healing, homeopathic remedies, essential oils, jewelry, incense, stones and rocks, or books on magic, food, spirituality, religion, etc., then you would love to visit this website: http://presentmoment.com/. While I was there, I asked the friendly woman at the counter to point me in the direction of books on Raw Food. It was a tough choice, but since I didn't want to spend my entire life savings on everything they had in this section - I chose one that really stuck out to me, called "Becoming Raw: The Essential Guide to Raw Vegan Diets" by Brenda Davis, RD and Vesanto Melina, MS, RD, with Rynn Berry. I have only paged through briefly so far, but I believe it will take me great lengths in my search for quality information on this earthy diet we call Raw. The cover alone is so alluring. I guess there are some smart marketers out there. :)   I'm very happy with the purchase.  It's so actualizing to start this blog, buy that book, and talk to everyone under the sun that I know about starting this kind of lifestyle. It imprints the likelihood of me sticking with it like hands in wet clay.  It's like a stamp of readiness, I can just taste success... Literally! And believe me, from what I know, it tastes DIVINE... mangoes, raspberries, musk melon, cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, MMMMMmmMm. Nothing beats it, really.  I must work on some math studying for some time before taking a nap and heading off to school, but please feel free to follow this blog as often as you would like. It is open to any and all who wish to follow. :)
